Our timber garage doors are most often produced with cedar wood which is renowned for it’s  appearance and natural variation in tone.

It lends itself to external applications as it is naturally resinous which makes it extremely resistant to the elements, as well as giving it a long-lasting fragrance, particularly when freshly cut.

Due to the popularity of cedar garage doors, it is the material of choice of all major garage door manufacturers.

We can also source doors in Okoume, Accoya and Oak amongst others. If you want to source your own timber to build a bespoke timber garage door we can get an open-for-infill chassis for you which has all the door mechanism and framing taken care of, just waiting for you to infill with whatever your imagination can create. Please note though that there are weight limits on what the doors can lift.

We try to avoid using pine as it has a tendency to deform and break down a lot faster than other materials. That being said, all timber garage doors will require periodic maintenance to keep them at their best and we can advise on that – most doors will come from the factory with a full finish of stain or paint, and as a minimum they will have a fungicidal base coat.

Timber garage doors are available as timber up and over garage doors, timber side-hinged garage doors and timber sectional garage doors and all of the can be motorised for ease of use. The doors are available in a wide-range of standard and purpose-made sizes.
